Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding
Congratulations to Gayle and Richie who were married today at Sandhole Oak Barn in Congleton, Cheshire. Roadworks held up the Bride ! The registrars had another wedding booked after Gayle’s and at one point I thought we weren’t going to have a wedding, but fortunately Gayle arrived with minutes to spare ! Looking at the clock in the photo’s I think Gayle was about 35 minutes late…which was the record for this year !

Sandhole Oak Barn
The outside of the Barn, fortunately no rain, a little windy but we were happy enough with that ! From here you can just see the magnificent lake on the left.

Richie getting a helping hand, or two ! Sandhole Oak Barn has some lovely guest bedrooms and I’d certainly recommend booking one if you are coming to a wedding here, saves the trip home !

I think Richie was getting just a ‘little’ bit anxious at this point, 1o minutes late is a Brides prerogative, but even the most confident Groom will start to worry when we hit 30 minutes late !
Fortunately they managed to get through the traffic jams, with enough time to keep the registrars happy ! [Though I had to give up my time for any portraits beforehand as the registrars wanted Gayle in straight away.}

The waiting game was finally over! I gave Richie the thumbs up ! …and we had a wedding !

Unposed, natural moments, ‘real weddings’, that’s what we like. Gayle looks so happy here, moments like these are definitely ones to treasure !
There was a lot of love in the room, Gayle and Richie have got some great friends and you could see how happy they were to see their friends tie the knot !

Family ! I think we can safely say we have one happy family there !

Sandhole Oak Barn is one of the larger wedding venues in Cheshire, it allows me to pop a nice long lens on my camera, go stand 100 feet away and pick off shots like this all day long!

Funnily enough, living in Manchester, on the odd occasion there is a little bit of a football theme that sneaks in, this wedding had a little bit of Red !

We had wanted to get the sunset, unfortunately the weather wasn’t playing nice and the cloud cover won in the end !
We did mange to sneak out later though, just for one final shot by the lake at Sandhole Oak Barn !
